TEDx At Murrow High School Tomorrow
Edward R. Murrow High School will host their first officially licensed TEDx event this week, and the topic will be: Education, Inspiration, Revolution, Breaking through alienation, and Making Art Wherever thou Are.
The TEDx Program is designed to help communities, organizations, and individuals to spark conversation and connection through local TED-like experiences. Bringing TEDx events to Edward R Murrow High School is an initiative to expand the school’s communications arts programs and offerings.
They have lined up some great speakers:
- Carter Emmart, Scientist/Artist and Director of Astrovisualization at the American Museum of Natural History
- Mickela Mallozzi, PBS television series host of ‘Travel Bare Feet’
- J.T. Lewis, Session musician and drummer extraordinaire
- Chris Riggs, Artist
- Allen Barge, Edward R Murrow School Principal
- several students who have incredible ideas worth sharing
