Taking the Show to Kensington: 66th Precinct to Meet Thursday, March 21

The next 66th Precinct Community Council meeting will take place here in Kensington on Thursday, March 21, rather than the usual Borough Park location.

“I’ve heard people say we always go the same places,” Deputy Inspector Michael Deddo (shown above), the 66th Precinct commander, said when he announced the change of venue last Thursday, February 21, at the 66th Precinct Community Council meeting. “So we’re trying this out.”

The meeting will be at University Place’s 4th floor meeting room, the student center/dormitory across the street from Foodtown at 385 McDonald Ave. Cops will be posted outside the center to point the way.

The Albemarle Neighborhood Association, chaired by Community Board 12 board member Larry Jayson, is hosting the meeting, which unfailingly begins at 7pm and ends at 8pm. D.I. Deddo said the NYPD’s meeting will start at 7:30pm.

CB 12 also plans on holding its May meeting in Kensington, on May 28, most likely at PS 230, Lucille Mauro, a CB 12 spokeswoman said. Someone has heard Kensington loud and clear. We’re going to get our 15 minutes of fame. So do show up and make good use of it.
