T.B. Ackerson Owner Hopes To Open Windsor Terrace Restaurant & Wine Bar
If you’ve stopped into T.B. Ackerson Wine Merchants lately, you may have noticed a petition for a forthcoming restaurant at 1238 Prospect Avenue (between Vanderbilt Street and Reeve Place). That restaurant is Nanny Goat Hill, shown above as a pop-up at the former Crossroads Cafe in 2011 and being opened in a permanent space by Jane Miller Rennert of T.B. Ackerson and Juice Box Wine & Spirits, along with her partner Jeremiah Fox.
Windsor Terrace residents have varying feelings about Nanny Goat Hill, whose application for a liquor license is coming before Community Board 7 at a hearing tonight; while some are excited to have a new food and drink option, others are concerned about safety, noise, and the establishment’s proximity to local preschools and kid-oriented organizations. We spoke to Jane, who gave us more details about what the restaurant has planned (hint: it’s not just spicy lamb meatballs gnocchi with wild mushrooms, and scones with honey butter), ahead of this evening’s meeting.
You can learn more about the restaurant’s layout, menu, hours, and how they’re addressing neighbors’ concerns at Kensington BK.
