Suspects Wanted In Gunpoint Robbery On East 18th Street

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three men they say held up a 12-year-old boy, his mother, and 4-year-old sister as they were walking on East 18th Street near Cortelyou Road.

The robbery took place on Friday, September 20 at about 8:30pm. Police say the suspects approached the boy, placed a gun at his back, and demanded money. The mother, who was pushing the younger child in a stroller, gave the men an undetermined amount of money and the suspects fled the scene, according to the NYPD.

Police have provided the sketches of two of the suspects, shown above. All three are described as black men in their 20s — the suspect in the sketch on the left is described as having a ponytail.

Anyone with information about this crime or the identites and the whereabouts of this suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting your tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577. The NYPD says all calls are confidential.
