Suspect Arrested In Stillwell Avenue Double Shooting

Police have arrested a Chelsea man in connection to the Stilwell Avenue robbery and shooting that left one man dead and his twin brother in critical condition earlier this year.

Bryan Panarella, 24, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, assault, and weapons possession charges in relation to the May 26 incident, cops said.

The 26-year-old brothers were found in their Gravesend apartment at approximately 11:17pm, with gunshot wounds to the torso, according to authorities. Galvin Becerra, shot once in the chest, was taken to Coney Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His twin was taken to Lutheran Hospital with three torso wounds an survived.

After the incident, the NYPD released surveilance footage of two suspects walking away from the location of the shooting. It’s not clear what prompted the altercation, but police sources told the New York Daily News that a large amount of marijuana was found at the apartment.
