I’m writing because I know that you care about our neighborhood, and that you appreciate the coverage we deliver at Ditmas Park Corner. I’m writing to ask for your support through our new Community Partner program, through which you can help ensure that we can continue and build our independent local journalism.

Everything you read on Ditmas Park Corner is FREE, and we believe it should be, so that everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, can have access to news that matters to them. We believe in our community, and in the power of local media to make the neighborhood stronger, which is only possible when everyone has access.

Over the years we’ve introduced you to new restaurants and shops, fought for streetlights and better public safety, and we’ve dug deeply into the complex issues around housing and the changing neighborhood, all while building a sustainable news business from the ground up. We’ve fundraised for local charities, and helped clean up the neighborhood, gone to Albany to support our neighbors in the fight for affordable housing. We’ve made good progress.  We’ve even won awards, and made lists of best of’s for years.

Now we’re asking for your help. We have built our business by helping local businesses reach their customers with advertising, but our deepest connection is to our readers.  We are not a non-profit, and we are not backed by billionaires, or even millionaires – we are very much locally grown. We are asking you to support the in-depth, ongoing local news coverage and community discussion Ditmas Park needs by subscribing to our news-site.
