This Sunday, Sample Auria’s Amazing Sambal At Brooklyn ARTery (Promoted)

This Sunday, January 25, from 2-4pm, come by Brooklyn ARTery (1021 Cortelyou Road) to sample Auria’s Malaysian Kitchen’s amazing sambal. Auria Abraham is a local resident, and her sambal is a Martha Stewart American Made 2014 finalist!

You may have tried her delicious cooking at the past two Flatbush Frolic street fairs and wondered what it is that makes it so addictive – the secret is in the sambal. You can use it in a variety of dishes to add spice and flavor, and it is out of this world.

Sambal is to Malaysians what ketchup is to Americans. The word “sambal” refers to a condiment of ground spices and aromatics, with the key being fresh red chiles that is served either cooked or raw.

Auria’s Malaysian Kitchen’s Hot Chili Sambal is a delicious hot cooked sambal featuring the distinct umami of dried shrimp. It is made from a family recipe the way her mother made it in her kitchen.

What customers have to say about the sambal:

I’m a Malaysian living in NYC. While NYC has many wonderful things to offer, good sambal was hard to come by. Well, not any longer! I tried Auria’s Malaysian Kitchen sambal for the first time today, and can attest that you won’t be able to find anything more authentic, short of making it yourself. Had I not purchased it myself, I would not have believed that it came in a jar! I was so excited to try it, all I did was slap it on a plate with some rice and a hard boiled egg. Can’t wait to try it with EVERYTHING!
