Summer Strolls Return To The Slope In July And August

Some of the fun annual events of the season are the Park Slope Fifth Avenue BID’s Summer Strolls, where portions of 5th Avenue and 7th Avenue are closed to traffic for a few hours in the evening so neighbors can enjoy the weather, dance, eat, and explore the street in a way we don’t normally get to.

This year, we’ve got four nights (instead of two) and two Saturday afternoons to look forward to, plus you can check out free performances of Shakespeare in the Parking Lot during those Summer Strolls!

Here are the dates for the Summer Strolls on 5th Avenue, which take place from 5-9pm:

Friday, July 18: 5th Avenue from 12th-18th Streets

Friday, July 25: 5th Avenue from 12th-18th Streets

Friday, August 15: 5th Avenue from Dean-Sterling Street

Friday, August 22: 5th Avenue from Dean-Sterling Street

These Summer Strolls on 7th Avenue take place from 12-5pm:

Saturday, July 19: 7th Avenue from 9th-16th Streets

Saturday, July 26: 7th Avenue from 9th-16th Streets

And here’s where you can see Romeo and Juliet for free outdoors:

Friday, July 25, 7:30pm: 5th Avenue between 17th and 18th Sts

Saturday, July 26, 2:30pm: 7th Avenue between 12th and 13th Sts

Friday, August 15, 7:30pm: 5th Avenue and Dean St
