Summer Reading Kickoff Celebration At Central Branch And Cortelyou Library

This summer, Brooklyn Public Library wants to prevent “summer slide” by getting kids excited about summer reading.

Brooklyn Public Library is kicking of its 2016 Summer Reading program with events all over Brooklyn, including a game-themed party with a giant chess board, puzzles, games, prizes, musical guests, and reading tents from 10am to 3:00pm on Thursday, June 9, located at The Brooklyn Public Library Central Branch.

In addition, our very own Cortelyou Branch Library will host a kick-off event, with free board game giveaways and special activities for all ages. Join in the fun on Thursday, June 9 from 2pm to 4pm.
