Stuff Your Face At The Cortelyou Greenmarket Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest

Pull on your sweatbands and pop in some Olivia Newton-John, strawberry lovers, because this Sunday, June 9, is the annual Cortelyou Greenmarket Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest!

Manager Tali Biale says the sweet duel should begin around 10:30 or 11am, with at least one round each for kids and adults (although she sounds open to more than one round if necessary). Prizes will be given for the fastest, messiest, and cleanest eaters.

The contest is free, and no pre-registration is necessary–simply come hungry to Cortelyou Rd. between Argyle and Rugby Rds. Sunday morning, and get ready to have an awesome, berry-full time.
