Stop ‘N’ Swap Brings Community Reuse To Ditmas Park (Sponsored)

Have great stuff you no longer need? Share it with a neighbor and see what’s free for the taking at the Stop ‘N’ Swap community reuse event in Ditmas Park on June 7.

Stop ‘N’ Swaps invite the public to bring clean, portable, reusable items to share with those who can use them. No need to bring something to take something—you can simply show up with a bag and pick up some summer reading, gently used clothing, housewares, toys and other items looking for a new home. Anything leftover at the end of the day is donated or recycled. Furniture and other large items are not accepted at the swap.

Stop ‘N’ Swap is coordinated by GrowNYC, funded by and in partnership with the NYC Department of Sanitation, working together to reduce waste and promote reuse in NYC. By participating in community swaps, New Yorkers simultaneously reduce their contribution to landfills and prevent the waste that comes from the production, packaging and transportation required to get new things. Our goal is hold a swap for every community district in NYC every year, giving everyone an opportunity to reduce and reuse right where they live!

The Ditmas Park Stop ‘N’ Swap will be held Sunday, June 7, 12pm-3pm at PS 139 (330 Rugby Road). For more information, visit grownyc.org/swap.
