Stabbing Victim Dies Two Weeks After Attack; Bed-Stuy Man Charged For Murder
Last month, we reported that the 27-year-old man whow was stabbed on Grand Avenue between Gates and Putnam Avenues had survived his immediate injuries. But yesterday, he died, succumbing to his wounds at Kings County Hospital, and a Bed-Stuy man has now been arrested for his murder.
Willis Young, 27, of East Flatbush, had been stabbed twice at around 3:20am on Wednesday, July 22. When police found him, unconscious, the “knife [was] still sticking out of him,” according to the police report.
Now, Chad Hollingsworth, 25, of Monroe Street in Bed-Stuy, faces charges of second degree attempted murder, felony assault, Criminal possession of a weapon, driving while intoxicated, running a red light, and refusal to take a breath test.
