St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Activities
Happy St. Patrick’s Day weekend. We’ve compiled a list of activities to keep your weekend festive.
Parades–The parades aren’t in our neighborhood, but many of our neighbors will be playing the bagpipes or showing off their Irish Dance Steps along Prospect Park West.
Brooklyn Parade–Sunday, March 15, 1pm. The parade starts at 15th Street and Prospect Park West. It loops down to 7th Ave, back up Garfield St and back along Prospect Park West to the starting point. Festivities will continue afterward at Shepard’s Hall (see below).
Manhattan Parade–Saturday, March 16, 11am. The parade marches up 5th Ave from 44th Street to 79th Street. Festivities will continue everywhere.
Local Watering Holes–Many neighbors will celebrate with a pint.
773 Lounge (773 Coney Island Ave) has a full schedule of events.
Denny’s Steak House (106 Beverly Rd) always good for a cheap drink, though no steak.
Shenanigans (802 Caton Ave) will have live music and karaoke.
Family Friendly Activities–The whole family can eat corned beef and cabbage at these activities.
Holy Name is hosing a post-parade party at Shepherds Hall. Tickets are $30. RSVP at 718-499-9482.
Immaculate Heart of Mary is hosting St. Patrick’s Day Bingo Night ($5) at Brooklyn Prospect Charter (3002 Ft. Hamilton Pkwy) complete with door prizes.
