Speak Out Against Cuts to Library Budgets


It’s that time of year again when the city threatens cuts to all kinds of popular programs in next year’s budget. In addition to after-school programs, another big cut that would affect our area would be to the Brooklyn Public Library. The library’s budget is set to be cut by $27 million, or 32%, which could mean big reductions to service.

The BPL has set up an easy way right here for people to contact the mayor and your councilperson to say why the library is important to you.
