South Slope Weekday Events Spotlight: January 12-15
Don’t wait until this weekend for a little neighborhood fun! With everything from school plays and music, to poetry readings and improv, South Slope is definitely the place to be through Thursday. Here are some of our favorite events from around the area:

The Princess King
When: Tuesday, January 13 and Wednesday, January 14, 7pm
Where: PS 295, 330 18th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues
What: Move over, Broadway! It’s time, once again, for the PS 295 musical. This year’s production, The Princess King, tells the story of Princess Genevieve, who is trying to “convince her father, the king, to let her lead the kingdom herself — rather than holding a contest to find a ‘suitable’ husband for her and ruler for the kingdom.” The event is fun for the whole family, and a great way to support one of our local schools.
How much: Tickets, which are available at the door, are $5 for adults and $1 for kids.
Having A Whiskey Coke With You
