South Slope Weekday Events Spotlight: February 24-26
Don’t wait until this weekend for a little neighborhood fun! Here’s a few of the events that are happening in our area through Wednesday:
Perennial Artisan Ales Night
When: Monday, February 24, 8pm
Where: The Owl Farm, 297 9th Street, between 4th and 5th Avenues
What: A big long list of Perennial Ales are flowing at The Owl Farm Monday night, and according to their recent Facebook post, “prices get nicest from 6 – 10pm with Brewer Jonathan Moxey.”
How much: No cover
Kimberly McCreight Reading
When: Tuesday, February 25, 6:30pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue, between 8th and 9th Streets
What: The Park Slope-based author will read from and discuss her book Reconstructing Amelia, which, in addition to receiving heaps of praise since its release last year, will be adapted into a movie, starring and produced by Nicole Kidman.
How much: Free
Trivia Armageddon
When: Tuesday, February 25, 8pm to 9:30pm
Where: Black Horse Pub, 568 5th Avenue at 16th Street
What: It’s back! The Black Horse Pub hosts Trivia Armageddon on Tuesday, where teams of up to six players can geek out to four rounds of some of the nerdiest trivia in the borough. Cash, bar tabs, and gift certificates are waiting for the best of the best!
How much: $3 Buy-in
Story Play
When: Wednesday, February 26, 1:30pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue, between 8th and 9th Streets
What: Bring the family out to the library on Wednesday afternoon for stories, games and fun with friends. Geared toward children ages birth to 3-years.
How much: Free, but tickets are required for entry (one per family), so be sure to arrive early to score your ticket.
