South Slope Stoop Sales: April 27-28

Warm weather + lack of storage space = STOOP SALES!

We’ve put together a list of sales spotted in the neighborhood this weekend. If you’ve got one of your own on the horizon, email us at editor@bklyner.com, and we’ll add it to the list.

There’s a winter clean out at 332 12th Street (Between 5th and 6th Ave) from 8am to 12pm on Saturday. Keep an eye out for baby stuff, women’s clothing, picture frames, kitchen items and furniture.

Another Saturday sale will take place on 15th Street, between 8th Avenue and Prospect Park West. The time was not specified. Look for toys, games, books, a girl’s bike and scooter, stroller, car seat, and a booster high chair.

This one is across the way in Park Slope, but definitely worth the trip. Kids Against Cancer will be hosting a multi-family stoop sale on Saturday at 468 6th Street (between 6th and 7th Ave) from 10am to 2pm (raindate: 5/11/13). All proceeds will go to Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer Fun.

Neighbor Patty Cavallo, who lost her daughter Sienna to bone cancer in 2008, is chairing Hope and Heroes upcoming walk on May 19.

In addition to stuff for kids, household goods, books, and more, don’t miss the group’s lemonade and bake sale! Have anything you’d like to donate to the sale? Bring it along!

Other weekend events in the area include the opening of Dreamgirls and Gallery Players on Saturday night, and the Run for Hope fundraiser in Prospect Park on Sunday. Check out our Events Spotlight for more information, and have a fabulous weekend!
