South Slope Rental Roundup: Two Bedrooms
In the market for a new rental? You’re in luck, because we’ve put together some of our favorite 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom listings from the neighborhood this week. Check ’em out, and let us know what you think!
33rd Street
Price: $1600
Size: 2-bed, 1-bath
Available: Immediately
Details: Yes, this is a bit of a stretch from South Slope/Greenwood Heights, but we thought it would be interesting to see how much a two-bed, 1-bath was going for in our neighboring community of Sunset Park. Looks like you’ll get lots of space in this bright rental (shown above), with an eat-in kitchen, and lots of closet space. It’s situated on a quiet, tree-lined block, and best of all, you’re within walking distance of the express N!

6th Avenue near Prospect Avenue
Price: $2,480
Size: 2-bed, 1-bath
Available: June 1st
Details: This unit is also on a quiet tree-lined block, but comes in at almost $1,000 more. Look for an eat-in kitchen (with some wicked cool tile going on), and a private patio (a nice plus). Our favorite part of the listing, though, was when the real estate agent pointed out that 6th Avenue was only one block away from both 5th Avenue and 7th Avenue. So glad he was able to figure that one out for us.

7th Avenue and 16th Street
Price: $3,100
Size: 2-bed, 1-bath
Available: May 15
Details: The most expensive in the roundup also appears to be the smallest, but if you’re all about location, this one may be your pick. That said, the “kitchen” is just sort of there, and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a bathtub this tiny. It is clean and bright, though, and has some nice exposed brick (which we’ve always had a weak spot for.
