South Slope Events Spotlight: October 31-November 3

From a ’90s flashback to a tour of the dead, you won’t have to go far for Halloween fun this weekend.

Scream: A 90s Halloween Jam
When: Thursday, October 31, 9pm to 1am
Where: Prospect, 545 5th Avenue, between 14th and 15th Street
What: Jump back! Prospect is going ’90s Thursday night, and you’re invited to relive your old Girbaud days. Look for a ’90s costume contest, “hella dope drink specials,” and retro dance favorites all night long.
How much: No Cover

Day of the Dead Margaritas at South
When: Friday, November 1
Where: 629 5th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Street
What: Come raise a glass to those who have passed. South is offering Day of the Dead margarita specials all day long. They’ve also got queso. And Shiner Bock. You can’t go wrong.
How much: No Cover

10th Annual Lucky 13 Halloween Extravaganza
When: Saturday, November 2, 7:30pm
Where: 273 13th Street, between 4th and 5th Avenue
What: Come party like a rock star with the gang at Lucky 13 on Saturday. They’ll have a costume contest at midnight with cash and bar tab prizes for the top three winners, music, Halloween gogo girls and more.
How much: No Cover

Green-Wood Cemetery Off-The-Map Tour
When: Sunday, November 3, 2:45pm to 4:45pm
Where: Meet at Sea Witch (703 5th Avenue, between 21st and 22nd Street) at 2:45pm
What: Go off the beaten path with South Slope tour guide Andrea Janes, who will introduce you to some of Green-Wood’s more scandalous and lesser-known inhabitants.
