South Slope Bars Have Grills At The Ready This 4th Of July

The local bars are rocking on July 4, so even if you don’t have a backyard and grill, there are plenty of spots where you can get your yankee doodle on around South Slope:

Prospect Bar and Grill
Where: 545 5th Avenue, between 14th and 15th Street
What: Look for hamburgers, a backyard, buckets of beer and fireworks on the projector.

Greenwood Park
Where: 555 7th Avenue, between 19th and 20th Street
What: “Drinking, grilling (a pig roast), DJs and bocce” await at our local beer garden.

Freddy’s
Where: 627 5th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Streets
What: From 2:30pm to 6:30pm, Freddy’s will be offering some great specials at the bar: $2 PBR & Highlife, and $3 for all Tap beer! Top that off with free burgers, veggies, and kimchee dogs…or bring your own grub and they’ll toss it on the grill.

Bar 718
Where: 718 5th Avenue, between 22nd and 23rd Street
What: The grills will be fired up at Bar 718 this 4th of July, so pop over for drink specials and a hot dog or two.

Der Kommissar
Where: 559 5th Avenue, between 15th and 16th Street
What: It’s a POOL PARTY at Der Kom. They’ll have pools set up all night, and free franks from 6pm to 7pm.

Brooklyn Pub
Where: 689 6th Avenue at 20th Street
What: The gang at Brooklyn pub is barbecuing from noon until late, so be sure to stop by and ask them how their recent St. Jude motorcycle ride went!
