Sign Up For The 8th Annual Make Music New York Festival
Get ready to rock! Registration for Make Music New York, the free outdoor festival that gives artists an opportunity to take their music to the streets, sidewalks, stoops, plazas, cemeteries, parks, and gardens of NYC, is now open.
The eighth annual event will take place on Saturday, June 21, from 10am-10pm, and everyone from high school bands to more established acts are invited to participate.
In recent years, the closest places to enjoy some free performances have been over in Ditmas Park, near the library on Cortelyou and at Milk & Honey, for instance. But this year, our own Jole Carliner is hoping to bring some options closer to home.
“I am working to put together a program at Kensington Plaza,” Jole says. “It would be great to have a selection of musicians from Kensington to choose from. ”
Performances must be finalized by Tuesday, April 29. Registration information can be found here, and if you have any questions, email info@makemusicny.org.
