Here’s a roundup of press releases and other mishegoss that came through the mailbox and deserves a mention:

  • The Myrtle Avenue Partnership will convert over 40 tree beds into sidewalk gardens as part of its TreED on Myrtle project throughout Fort Greene and Clinton Hill tomorrow.
  • Black Renditions of Universal Superheroes will have a panel at MOCADA tomorrow, followed by a book signing.
  • Tomorrow, the Brooklyn Historical Society will host a panel about how refugees adapt to life in Brooklyn and panelists will include Eileen Reilly of CAMBA, Zeinab Eyega of Sauti Yetu, Alec Brook-Krasny of The Council of Jewish Émigré Community Organizations, and Ninaj Raoul of Haitian Women for Haitian Refugees.
  • On May 21, volunteers are invited to help spruce up Fort Greene Park alongside members of the Fort Greene Park conservancy.
  • The Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra finalists will perform on May 22 at the Brooklyn Museum.
