Q Hullabaloo & Tons More Weekend Subway Service Changes

Below you’ll find weekend subway service changes for the A, C, G, B, Q, D, N, R, 2, 3, 4, and 5 lines in Brooklyn, plus the Franklin Avenue shuttle. Check back Monday to see what’s happening next week. Changes via MTA.info.

Through tonight:

No 2 trains between 34 St-Penn Station and Flatbush Av
Late nights, 10pm-5am, Monday, December 1 to Friday, December 5

5 service will run local in place of 2 trains overnight. More info here.

Norwood-bound D trains and Astoria-bound N trains skip 25 St, Prospect Av, 4 Av-9 St and Union St
Late Nights, 11:45pm-5am through Friday, December 5

For service to these stations, take the D or N to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and transfer to a Coney Island-bound D or N. For service from these stations, take the D or N to 36 St and transfer to a Norwood-bound D or Astoria-bound N.

No R shuttle train between 36 St and 59 St
Late Nights, 11:45pm-5am through Friday, December 5

R service operates between 95 St and 59 St. Transfer between N and R trains at 59 St to continue your trip.

Astoria-bound Q trains run express from Sheepshead Bay to Prospect Park
Days, 9:45am-3pm, Wednesday, December 3 and Thursday, December 4; 9:45am-2pm on Friday, December 5

Trains stop at Kings Hwy, Newkirk Plaza and Church Av. For service to Neck Rd, Avenue U, Avenue M, Avenue J, Avenue H, Cortelyou, Beverley Rds and Parkside Av, take the Q to Kings Hwy, Newkirk Plaza, Church Av or Prospect Park and transfer to a Brighton Beach-bound B or Coney Island-bound Q.

For service from these stations, take the B or Q to Church Av, Newkirk Plaza, Kings Hwy or Sheepshead Bay and transfer to an Astoria-bound Q.

Brighton Beach-bound B trains run local from Prospect Park to Sheepshead Bay
Days, 9:45am-3pm, Wednesday, December 3 and Thursday, December 4; 9:45am-2pm on Friday, December 5

Franklin Av Shuttle service operates every 24 minutes
Weekend, 12:01am on Saturday, December 6 to 9pm on Sunday, December 7

N trains run via the Q in both directions between DeKalb Av and Canal St
Late nights, 11:45pm on Fridays to 5am on Mondays, December 5-8; December 12-15; December 19 – 22

No N service at Jay St-MetroTech, Court, Whitehall, Rector, Cortlandt Sts and City Hall. Use nearby 4 stations instead, then transfer between 4 and N trains at Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr or 14 St-Union Sq.

Transfer is available between the 4 and N at Canal St after 1am. For Jay St-MetroTech, take the F via transfer at 4 Av-9 St or 34 St-Herald Sq. More info here.

57 St/7 Av-bound Q trains run express from Kings Hwy to Prospect Park
Weekend, 10:45pm on Friday, December 5 to 5am on Monday, December 8

Trains stop at Newkirk Plaza and Church Av. For service to Avenue M, Avenue J, Avenue H, Cortelyou, Beverley Rds and Parkside Av, take the Q to Newkirk Plaza, Church Av or Prospect Park and transfer to a Coney Island-bound Q.

For service from these stations, take the Q to Church Av, Newkirk Plaza or Kings Hwy and transfer to a 57 St/7 Av-bound Q.

G service operates every 20 minutes between Court Sq and Bedford-Nostrand Avs
Weekends, 5am-12am, Saturdays and Sundays through December 28

The last stop for alternate trains from Church Av is Bedford-Nostrand Avs.

R trains run via the Q in both directions between DeKalb Av and Canal St
Weekends, Saturday and Sunday, December 6-7; December 13-14; December 20-21

No R service at Jay St-MetroTech, Court, Whitehall, Rector, Cortlandt Sts and City Hall. Use nearby 4 stations, then transfer between 4 and R trains at Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr or 14 St-Union Sq. More info here.
