Shred Fest Comes To The Flatbush-Nostrand Junction May 19

Worried about identity theft? Here’s something to calm your nerves: New York’s 6th Annual Shred Fest is upon us next Sunday, May 19, from 10-4pm at the corner of Flatbush Ave. and Hillel Pl.

With free security tips, paper-shredding trucks, and personal shredders given to the first five visitors at each location, Shred Fest helps citizens recognize and prevent identity theft (which affected over 12 million people in 2012, and often originates from misplaced or discarded government documents and utility bills).
