New York Islanders Perform “Mannequin Challenge” With Kids At Seth Low Visit [Video]

New York Islanders defenseman Ryan Pulock and forward Anders Lee took a visit to Seth Low Intermediate School yesterday, and it’s pretty clear to say from the smiles in the pictures that it made the kids’ (and teachers’) week.

The Islanders spoke to students and staff on Wednesday about their childhoods, the importance of team work, and overcoming challenges. They signed autographs and took pictures with the kids and then brought everyone together for a hilarious and adorable mannequin challenge. (For those who don’t already know, the Mannequin Challenge is viral trend where people take videos of people frozen in place and set to the song “Black Beatles” by Rae Sremmurd.)

The visit was undoubtedly a happy event for the school, which underwent a controversial co-location a few years ago, when the Eva Moskowitz-run Success Academy was relocated into Seth Low’s underutilized 99 Avenue P building on the Bensonhurst-Gravesend border.

The visit was also a high point for the Islanders, no doubt, who have been less than happy about their 2015 move from Long Island to the Barclays Center. The move may have angered Long Island fans, but at least it allowed (or at least, made more likely) this happy visit to happen!
