Service Changes To Local Subway Lines This Week
How were your first few days without the G train tunnel? A reminder that you’ll have to switch to shuttle buses if you want to get to Greenpoint or Long Island City through September. Details on that and other service changes this week from the MTA:
Manhattan-bound D trains run local from 36 St, Brooklyn to DeKalb Av
Evenings, beginning 8:30pm, Monday to Thursday, until July 31
Allow additional travel time.
No G trains between Nassau Av and Court Sq
All times until 5am Tuesday, September 2
G service operates between Church Av and Nassau Av. Manhattan Av shuttle buses run between Nassau Av and Court Sq, stopping at Greenpoint Av and 21 St. McGuinness Blvd shuttle buses run between the Lorimer St L stop and Court Sq, stopping near G stations at Nassau Av, Greenpoint Av, and 21 St. See the full details here.
Astoria-bound N trains run local from 59 St, Brooklyn to DeKalb Av
Evenings, beginning 8:30pm, Monday to Thursday, until July 31
Allow additional travel time.
No R shuttle train between 59 St and 36 St
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, until August 15
R service operates between 95 St and 59 St. Take the N instead. Transfer between trains at 59 St.
No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.
Additionally, look out for changes further along the D, F, and N lines.
