See The Latest In Canine Fashion at Freddy’s Bar This Saturday

Check out the latest in canine fashion this Saturday, July 18, at the 2nd Annual Dog Fashion Show at Freddy’s Bar. Come see a bunch of dogs dressed in silly outfits crowding 5th Ave between 17th and 18th Street in conjunction with the Summer Strolls program.

The event will feature a Cat-Walk Stage Runway for the canine models and their owners, hosted by comedians Brooke Van Poppelen & Guilia Rozzi. Live music will be provided by Ida Blue. Beer specials, as well as free doggy swag will be provided by SmuttyNose Brewing company.

The first prizewinner will receive the coveted Xena Trophy, as well as several honorable mention “Good Dog” prizes for runners-up. Additional ribbons, medals, prizes and gifts (all provided by local merchants) will be also be awarded.

The show starts at 6pm with each contestant taking a walk on the Cat-Walk before the judges make their decisions. After the show, the fun continues with music and dancing in the street until 9pm.

A percentage of Freddy’s Smutty Nose beer sales will go to benefit BARC No Kill Shelter.

The event is free for the public as well as for all participants.
