Roy And Lloyd’s Happy Hour Jazz Series Starts This Friday At Lark

A new weekly happy hour jazz series is coming to Lark Cafe. Beginning Friday, April 12, from 5:45-7pm, neighbors Lloyd H. Miller and Roy Nathanson (with the occasional surprise guest) will be playing a mix of original tunes and jazz standards. Lloyd says the music played, while different from his Deedle Deedle Dees sets, will be kid-friendly–so families can come out and enjoy the show together.

Upright bass player Lloyd already plays Friday mornings at Lark with “America’s Ultimate Teaching Band” The Deedle Deedle Dees, while saxophonist Roy is best known for his work with the Jazz Passengers, who have collaborated with Debbie Harry and Elvis Costello and continue to tour internationally. Roy and Lloyd are also currently working on a multimedia project, including a movie musical, based on Paul Reyes’ Exiles in Eden.
