Road Closures Around Barclays This Weekend

A green roof is being installed on the Barclays Center, which means they’ll need a crane, and assembling the crane will apparently require some streets to be closed from 9am on Friday, October 10 until 6am on Monday, October 13.

Here’s what to look out for:

  • Dean St between Flatbush & 6th will be fully closed for the weekend.
  • 6th Ave between Dean & Bergen will be fully closed for the weekend.
  • 6th Ave between Atlantic & Dean will be closed intermittently.

The 78th Precinct says that traffic enforcement agents will be on site to assist with vehicular and pedestrian movement, and that signs will direct drivers to detour routes.

Sidewalks in the area will only be accessible to residents of those blocks and their visitors.
