Reserve Tickets To See Olivier Latry Play At Our Lady Of Refuge’s Organ Dedication
A few months back, we wrote about the 1930s Kilgen pipe organ restoration at Our Lady of Refuge (2020 Foster Avenue on the corner of Ocean Avenue). Now that the organ has been completely reinstalled, a dedication ceremony is scheduled for next Friday, October 18 at 7pm. Olivier Latry, a titular organist at the Cathedral of Notre Dame, will be at the keys–so it’s no surprise 95% of tickets have sold out.
Joe Vitacco, who grew up in the area and coordinated (along with Father Michael Perry) the fundraising for and restoration of the organ, advises any interested parties who haven’t yet reserved tickets to do so before noon today. Check out Latry in action below, and if you’d like to hear him play in person, buy tickets here.
