Raid At Dahill Road Apartment Yields Guns, Swords, Drugs & Ammo


Police found a supply of weapons and drugs at a Kensington apartment yesterday morning, according to The New York Post.

On Thursday, May 15 around 7am, police conducted a raid on the home at Dahill Road between Church Avenue and Louisa Street. Says the Post:

Cops recovered a 9 MM Highpoint Rifle with a defaced serial number, one 380 Cal loaded semi-automatic handgun, a 357 revolver, as well as a 38 caliber revolver.
Police also found 50 rounds of 45 caiberl ammunition, 50 rounds of 9MM ammunition, 67 rounds of 347 caliber ammunition, 50 rounds of 38 caliber ammunition, 17 rounds of 380 caliber ammunition, and a 45 caliber magazine.
As if that wasn’t enough, cops also recovered eight swords, one machete, some nunchakus and eight Codeine tablets, cops said… Assorted knives and air pistols were also recovered, according to police.

Four men–36-year-old Bashkim Sylmetaj, 42-year-old Michael Symetaj, 38-year-old Adem Sylmetaj, and 32-year-old Zenaida Vaysberg, 32–were arrested and have been charged with criminal possession of a loaded weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Gothamist, who says an NYPD officer “‘developed’ enough information… to obtain a search warrant” for the property, adds that charges also included criminal possession of marijuana.
