Quiet Clubbing Coming To Coney Island Next Weekend
It’s a new wave of club culture that doesn’t draw nearly as many noise complaints. Quiet Events is hosting its first ever Quiet Clubbing Festival on Saturday, August 27 at the Coney Art Walls museum in Coney Island.
The club-goers will sport wireless headphones that will feed them the transmission from nine live DJs including Sanity, DJ NSew, DJ John Lutchman, DJ And2, and more. The DJs will “battle it out” on a massive stage, and will be playing Top 40, EDM hits, hip hop, R&B, reggae, throwbacks, and mashups.
People will be dancing to fierce beats in the heat of unrelenting sound, but if someone were to observe without headphones, it would be silent dancing.
The festival will get bumping at 4pm and will go until midnight. It is expected to draw thousands of people. It will include face painting, LED robots sporting air cannons, fire twirlers, glow in the dark gear, and LED hula dancers. Also, an array of unique food and beverages will be available for purchase.
When party-people arrive they will receive a pair of special wireless headphones with an LED light to show what DJ they’re listening to. They will be able to switch from DJ to DJ at the push of a button. They can also adjust the volume so they don’t leave with the usual ringing of the ears. People can take the headphones off at anytime to talk to friends, and there won’t be any loud music to talk over.
It should be pretty surreal.
Ticket prices range from $25 to $50, and they’re selling out fast so don’t sleep on this one. Coney Art Walls is located at 3050 Stillwell Ave in Coney Island.
