Update [January 7, 1:35pm]: Police initially reported that one of the victims was 9 years old. They have since issued a correction stating that she is actually 79.

Police are searching for a group of four teens who mugged several women in Brighton Beach during the last month.

Cops say the teens swiped a pocketbook from a 79-year-old woman in the middle of the day on January 7, after cornering her near Brighton 1st Street and Neptune Avenue.

The next day, the same group attacked a 64-year-old woman at Brighton 5th Street and Ocean View Avenue. They pushed her to the ground and then snatched the cell phone out of her hand, authorities say.

The teens then attacked a 55-year-old woman on January 11, according to police. In another brazen midday robbery, the suspects allegedly swiped the purse from the victim’s shoulder and ran down the street.

Police say the suspects all appear to be about 15 years old. Surveillance video of the teens has been provided by the NYPD.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and then entering TIP577.
