Puppet Shows, A 15-Foot T-Rex & More At The Puppetry Arts Festival On Saturday

The awesome annual Puppetry Arts Festival of Brooklyn from local non-profit theater Puppetry Arts New York returns to the neighborhood this Saturday, June 28 from 11am-3pm. Bring the kids to 4th Street and 5th Avenue, near Washington Park, for free puppet shows, performances, sing-alongs, a bounce house, and more!

There will also be a

special performance by Field Station: Dinosaurs of New Jersey’s Meadowlands, which will feature all kinds of great dino information — in song form! Plus, any dinosaur-loving kids (and kids at heart) will love the life-like 15-foot juvenile T-Rex who will be there, too.

Special visits also include the 501st and Rebel Legions Star Wars characters Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, Darth Vader, and Stormtroopers — just think of all the photo-ops.

Here’s the schedule:

11am: Welcome Remarks with Tuffy Tiger
11:15am: FSD Walk Around T-Rex
11:30am: Tuffy’s Great Adventure
12pm: Intro to Star Wars on Carpet in front of stage

The festival is free (though some activities will have a fee), there are some great raffles you can enter, and all funds raised will be used to support free cultural programs in area schools and youth shelters. So head out and enjoy, rain or shine!
