Preserve Park Slope To Host Meeting On Methodist Construction Project

Following an agreement earlier this year between New York Methodist Hospital and Preserve Park Slope regarding the size, scope, and more of Methodist’s upcoming expansion project, you may still have questions about exactly what to expect. Tomorrow night, Preserve Park Slope will be hosting a meeting to help guide neighbors through it all.

On Thursday, March 26 at 7pm, they’ll host a meeting at the Social Hall at Congregation Beth Elohim, 274 Garfield Place at 8th Avenue. Here’s what’s on the agenda:

  • What is the agreement with Methodist?
  • How is demolition and construction going to affect me and my neighbors?
  • What do we know about the timetable?
  • What can we do together to monitor and mitigate what’s going to happen?
  • What are Preserve Park Slope’s plans?
  • How can I get involved and help?

Methodist has its own list of FAQs at the moment, and as part of the agreement, the hospital is supposed to set up a portion of its website to regularly update the community about the status of construction, so be sure to bookmark that — it’s still not up yet, but we’ll keep you posted.

Construction is expected to begin very soon.
