Possible Power Shutdown In Coney Island, Gravesend

Councilman Domenic Recchia has announced on his blog that Con Edison could possibly be shutting down power in Coney and Gravesend.

From Recchia’s blog:

After extensive conversations with Con Edison, I have learned that they may plan to shut down power throughout Coney Island and Gravesend. A shut down will result in loss of service for almost all electronics, including televisions, telephones, and computers. Please make sure your cellphones are charged and flashlights are ready to use. I suggest residents use battery powered radios, as news stations are constantly broadcasting updates. If you or someone you know has a power outage, please call Con Edison at 800-75ConEd (800-752-6633)
