Police Seek Suspect in Rape Near E 27th/Glenwood

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man they say is wanted in connection to a rape that occurred on Saturday, February 2.

Police say that at about 9:45am, the 22-year-old female victim was approached by a male suspect in the vicinity of East 27 Street and Glenwood Road, who then forcibly took the victim to an alleyway and raped her. The suspect also forcibly removed the victim’s personal property and fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect, shown in the video above, is described as a black male in his mid-20s, approximately 5’6″-5’7″ tall, about 160 pounds, with a medium build and bald head. The suspect was last seen wearing a blue Yankees baseball cap with a white brim, and dark gray jacket.
