Police Seek Suspect In Multiple Armed Robberies

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man they say robbed two businesses near our area over the past couple of days.

Cops say the suspect entered the kitchen area of  Sip & Chat Restaurant (2910 Avenue D between E 29th Street and Nostrand Avenue) with two guns just after midnight on Thursday, January 16. After forcing workers into the back, the suspect fled the restaurant empty handed.

The next incident occurred at Carrasco’s Grocery Store (1292 Flatbush Avenue at Bedford Avenue) on Friday, January 17. The suspect entered the store with two guns at about 3:20pm, demanded money from the store’s owner, and fled the location with approximately $600.

No injuries were reported in either instance. A video of the January 16 incident is above.
