Police Seek Kareem Potomont Following Monday’s Flatbush Avenue Shooting


The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance locating 21-year-old Kareem Potomont, a person of interest in the Monday, April 14 shooting that left two young people with serious injuries. Potomont, of E 18th Street, is described as 5’11” tall and approximately 160 pounds. He was captured on surveillance video wearing a black and white hooded sweatshirt with the word “ROC” and the front and back and “99” on both arms.

Eduardo Dolphy, the 24-year-old who is believed to be the intended target of the shooting, has been questioned by police while recovering from a leg wound and subsequently released from Kings County Hospital. According to the Daily News, doctors are not optimistic about saving the right eye of 13-year-old Gama Droiville, who was out shopping with his aunt when the shooting occurred and was shot twice in the head.
