If you weren’t already pumping your own gas, now might be the time to start.

The guy seen here in surveillance footage is wanted for allegedly tricking a driver to hand over his credit card by impersonating a Sunoco gas station attendant at the corner of Atlantic and Grand Avenues, said police.

Cops said it was 5:30pm this past Tuesday, April 28 when the suspect approached the 25-year-old driver as he pulled into the gas station, asking if he wanted gas. Upon being handed the victim’s credit card, the suspect fled on foot and attempted to use the card, which had already been deactivated and was denied.

However, the convenience store where he tried to use the card had surveillance footage, seen here.

Do you recognize this suspect? If so, call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS or log onto their website, or text tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
