Police After Suspect They Say Robbed & Stabbed A Man Near 3rd Avenue

The NYPD is on the lookout for a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery that took place in the neighborhood on June 23 around 8:30pm.

A 17-year-old man was walking near 11th Street and 3rd Avenue when the suspected robber approached him with a knife and demanded the man give up his stuff. The young man handed over his knapsack and then tried to follow the suspect to get it back.

The man confronted the mugger at Prospect Avenue and 3rd Avenue where the suspect stabbed him in the chest and then fled. The victim was taken to Methodist Hospital and treated for his injuries.

The police obtained video footage of the robbery suspect from a nearby security camera and described the suspect as a black male who was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and white sneakers.
