Police Searching For Man Who Wrote Anti-Muslim Graffiti In Kensington
Police are asking the public for help in tracking down a man wanted for writing anti-Muslim graffiti on two U.S. Postal boxes on Ocean Parkway on Saturday, September 6. According to the NYPD, the graffiti was written around 4:54am on the postal boxes in front of 300 Ocean Parkway and 330 Ocean Parkway.
Numerous flyers from the police were posted in the incredibly diverse, and typically peaceful, neighborhood this morning about the graffiti, which has been scrawled before in the area, including this summer, last fall, and in previous years. An example of the hateful graffiti can be seen here.
Anyone with information about this crime should call Detective John Vrlic at (646) 610-5267 or Detective Borough Manhattan South at (212) 477-7447. The case has been assigned to the NYPD’s hate crime task force.
