Police Search For Attempted Rapist

The NYPD is looking for a man they say attempted to rape and rob a woman as she was walking on Webster Avenue between East 8th Street and Ocean Parkway.

At about 2:40am on Tuesday, July 23, police say the 24-year-old victim was walking down the street when she was grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground. While on the ground, the suspect reportedly demanded her money and attempted to rape her, but fled when the woman resisted.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between 27-32 years old, 5’10” to 6’2″ tall, with dark hair. Police say he was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and dark blue jeans.
