The police are requesting help identifying the man suspected of shooting Yasser Julio on Church Avenue on Saturday, September 19.

The NYPD has released a security video showing the man running down the street. He is described as a black man with facial hair wearing a dark colored hat, a gray vest, a white shirt, gray slacks, and eyeglasses.

The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office also confirmed that victim Yasser Julio is the same man who was charged last year with shooting a 23-year-old man in the leg on Albemarle Road near Ocean Avenue.

Julio was charged with felony assault, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminal possession of a weapon. According to the DA, Julio was out on $25,000 bail and his case was pending. His next scheduled court appearance was to be October 27.
