Police Looking For A Man They Say Attacked A Senior On A Subway Platform


Police are hoping the public can help identify and locate a man wanted in connection with the assault of an elderly woman on a local R train platform.


The NYPD says the attack occurred on Sunday, March 30 at about 10:45am on the southbound R train platform at the 4th Avenue/9th Street stop, when the man allegedly approached a 70-year-old woman, hit her in the head, and then ran away. Police did not say if the woman suffered any injuries, and there’s no mention that the suspect took any of her property.


The suspect can be seen in the above surveillance images from the station.
