Babies & Books
When: Wednesday, April 1, 10am
Where: Central Library, Youth Wing, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Kids ages birth to 18 months and their guardians can enjoy stories, songs, and rhymes.
How much: Free, but you must pick up a ticket the morning of the program at the Children’s reference desk.
Rock With Adam
When: Wednesday, April 1, 10:30am
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue
What: Are you ready to rock? Neighborhood kids are definitely in for a treat as guitarist Adam Blotner plays some of his favorite tunes.
How much: Free, but tickets are required for entry (one per family), so be sure to arrive early to score yours.
Story Craft
When: Thursday, April 2, 3:30pm
Where: Pacific Library, 25 4th Avenue
What: Kids up to age 5 are welcome to hear a story, then make a craft inspired by it.
How much: Free!
Spring Break At Prospect Park
When: Friday, April 3-Sunday, April 12, various times
Where: Prospect Park
What: Schools are out, and the park is the place to be. From fun, free activities — including nature and animal programs — to rides on the carousel and spins around the roller rink at Lakeside, families will find plenty to do throughout the week.

What: Kids are invited to enjoy some fun arts and crafts projects.

Story Play
When: Saturday, April 4, 3:30pm
Where: Pacific Library, 25 4th Avenue
What: Children from birth to age five and their caregivers are invited to hear a story and play with toys.
How much: Free!
Flax Planting
When: Saturday, April 4, 2-4pm
Where: Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park
What: Celebrate the start of spring by helping the Alliance plant its first crop of the season. Kids can harness their love of gardening by spreading flax seed and watering.
How much: $3 suggested donation.
Nature Playtime: Zoo
When: Sunday, April 5, 10:30am-12:30pm
Where: Prospect Park Zoo, 450 Flatbush Avenue
What: The Prospect Park Alliance, Prospect Park Zoo, and Tinkergarten are teaming up (with a little help from the Disney Conservation Fund) to bring families creative play opportunities in the park’s natural areas. Every Sunday through April, those visiting the Prospect Park Zoo will be able to take part in Nature Playtime! in the native plant garden. Look for nature-inspired art, insect observation, playing with snow, scavenger hunts, and more. Want to try some Nature Playtime activities on your own? Download a free activity card here.
