Pitas & Sticks Brings Greek Delights To 9th Street
Pitas & Sticks, located in the former Atomic Wings space at 321 9th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues), officially opened their doors to the public on September 5, and employees tell us that business over the last few days has been hopping.
The interior is nice and crisp, with an industrial mix of metal, brick, and wood decor. Ample seating is available for guests who want to dine in, or you can make your way to the back of the restaurant to place a to-go order at the counter.
The menu, found here, is pretty extensive, with a wide selection of pitas, sticks, and larger entrees like pastitsio and spanikopita. Wine and beer (both on draft and by the bottle) are also available.
For our first visit, we decided to try the four different types of sticks (beef $3.50, pork $2.50, shrimp $6, and chicken $2.50). Both the beef and the pork were good, but the moist and deliciously seasoned chicken and shrimp were definite favorites that we devoured in record time.
The servings were generous, especially when you factor in the tasty pita bread that comes with the sticks, so you won’t walk away hungry.
All-in-all, a great addition to the neighborhood. Welcome, Pitas & Sticks!
Pitas & Sticks is open seven days a week, from 11am to 11pm. Prices range from $2 to $38, free delivery will be available with a $12 minimum, and credit cards are accepted.
