Pierre Loti Wine Bar To Open On 5th Avenue This Wednesday

Get ready to wine and dine your dates in a new spot. This morning we passed by Pierre Loti, the wine bar that already has three locations in Manhattan, that is launching its first Brooklyn spot at 78 5th Avenue (between St Marks and Warren), and learned that it will be open for business this Wednesday, January 22.

Zagat notes that the new location will feature 30 wines by the glass and 200 by the bottle, plus a menu of cheese plates, dips, salads, sandwiches, and chocolates.

It’s taking over the space most recently occupied by a bistro-turned-wine bar, Canaille, which closed last spring.

Their main site doesn’t list the Park Slope location yet, Here’s their website, and they do have a Facebook page, where they’ve announced an opening party for Thursday, January 23 from 5pm to midnight, so swing by to welcome them to the neighborhood!

UPDATE: The folks at Pierre Loti Park Slope just sent us some additional info.

The owners are Orhan Cakir, Burak Argun, and Ismail Topal (who is also the executive chef), and they say the space will seat 32 in the main dining area, plus four at the bar.

Pierre Loti Park Slope Menu

They note that the menu is designed for sharing, and will include items like pan-seared scallops over Anatolian salsa, Turkish beef dumplings with a yogurt sauce, tapas like Pilaki (marinated white beans with carrot) and Tarama (red caviar spread blended with olive oil and lemon). They’ll also have hummus and bulgar patties that you may be familiar with if you’ve been to one of their other locations.

As for drinks, mixologist Philip Han has created a number of signature cocktails to go along with the selection of wines (which are from France and around the Mediterranean).

Hours will be: Open for dinner Sunday-Thursday 4-11pm and Friday-Saturday 4pm-midnight; open for brunch Saturday-Sunday 11am-3pm. The bar is open Sunday-Wednesday 4pm-1am; Thursday-Friday 4pm-2am; and Saturday 11am-2am.
