Pick Up A Fig Sapling From Stems To Benefit The Flatbush CommUNITY Garden

Much to our tastebuds’ content, it’s nearly fig season–and you can get the beginnings of a plant for yourself over the next little while at Stems Flower Shop (1118 Cortelyou Road between Stratford and Westminster Roads).

Owner Suzanna Cameron says saplings from the Flatbush Fig Farm are now $20 a pop, with all proceeds from the first 10 sold going to the Flatbush CommUNITY Garden.

Suzanna encourages neighbors interested in saplings to call Stems at 347-240-5850 sooner than later, since their waiting list is filling up rapidly.
