Photos, A Menu Preview & More For Brooklyn Eats On Myrtle
Brooklyn Eats on Myrtle, the forthcoming restaurant and ping pong destination at 474 Myrtle Avenue (between Washington Avenue and Hall Street), is planning a November 13 opening–and they’ve shared with us a peek at their space as well as their menu.
The eatery has ties to several Brooklynites you may know from their other ventures–Chance 11‘s Keith Gladding and Energy Fuel‘s Paul Perez, Sr are co owners along with Carmen Nunez and Paul Perez Jr, while Chef Tim Coughlan–previously of Park Slope BBQ favorite Fort Reno–will be manning the kitchen.
In addition to their ample bar and cafe table seating and Myrtle-themed decor, the restaurant will provide patrons a playful way to unwind with some good old fashioned ping pong competition. Their Facebook cover photo offers their motto (and what should probably be the mantra of a lot more people in this world): “Eat. Drink. Pong.”
As for what’s on the menu, Brooklyn Eats’ Carmen says while there’s still some tweaking to do, neighbors can look forward to salads as well as comforting entrees and sides–including some serious mac and cheese. Click the preview menu to expand:
Brooklyn Eats has been awarded a liquor license as well–so no matter what changes may be made to the food menu, you can be sure the drinks and ping pong will be ready for the restaurant’s opening at 5pm on Thursday, November 13. Plans for regular hours are 11am-12am Sunday through Wednesday, and 11am-2am Thursday through Saturday.
